So your sphincter cannot close around it, and the water you press inside immediately comes out. Also the nozzles are painful when inserted and removed because of their shape, and scratch the fragile skin down there. The material is the cheapest, flimsiest plastic possible. As a previous review says, waters spills out easily when you tilt the item down. I guess I can't return such an item after having tried it! I'd rather not injure myself and make a mess next time I clean myself: it went directly into the trash! These nozzles are shaped like vaginal douche syringes. I don't know how they would work for that, but they certainly won't work well as rectal syringes because of their ribbed shape. I'm sorry I didn't pay more attention to the reviewers who pointed this out. I wish I had saved my money. The best rectal syringe I've found is an emptied out Fleets bottle. They last a while, and then you throw them away and get another one. They're super cheap and available everywhere. Even cheaper online. Don't buy this. You won't like it.
