The consistency of the product is thinner than say shower gel or liquid hand soap, it is mostly clear in color and it has no scent. I have very sensitive skin, as well as the bladder condition known as Interstitial Cystitis which feels like a never ending urinary tract infection, so I am quite picky about what I wash with. This feminine wash has never irritated me in the nearly 30 years I've been using it, even when my IC symptoms are are their worst, and that is saying a lot. Moreover, it does a great job of keeping that important area fresh and clean (my husband can testify). I use it every day in the shower; it just takes me less than a minute to dispense about a nickle sized portion onto my finger tips, "hand wash", and then rinse clean...nothing to... Before you even get out of the shower, you already feel so clean and refreshed. as far as odor, i found that you have to really scrub (sorry if thats too graphic) and i also found that it can become kind of time consuming to rinse it off. I have had having reoccurring issues and my doctor told me to change my detergent and soap to alleviate the allergic reactions. I have had great success finding detergent and body soaps/shampoos/ect but not a feminine wash. I have been trying to find something for my female parts, and my doctor recommended this. I saw that is was soap and fragrance free and immediately signed up for the "subscribe and save". BUT, on arrival I read the label, just to be sure, and found to my great disappointment that this IS NOT FRAGRANCE FREE! I repeat, IT IS NOT FRAGRANCE FREE!!
